- American Antiquarian SocietyThe American Antiquarian Society (AAS) is an independent research library founded in 1812 in Worcester, Massachusetts. The library's collections document the life of America's people from the colonial era through the Civil War and Reconstruction.
- American Association for State and Local HistoryProviding services and leadership to thousands of institutional and individual members. It is the only comprehensive national organization dedicated to state and local history.
- American Association for the Advancement of Slavic StudiesThe American Association for the Advancement of Slavic Studies (AAASS), a nonprofit, non-political, scholarly society, is the leading private organization in the world dedicated to the advancement of knowledge about the former Soviet Union (including Eurasia) and Eastern and Central Europe. The AAASS supports teaching, research, and publication relating to the peoples and territories within this area.
- American Jewish Historical SocietyThe American Jewish Historical Society provides access to more than 20 million documents and 50,000 books, photographs, art and artifacts that reflect the history of the Jewish presence in the United States from 1654 to the present.
- American Society for Environmental HistoryFounded in 1977, ASEH promotes scholarship and teaching in environmental history, supports the professional needs of its members, and connects its undertakings with larger communities.
- Center for History and New MediaCHNM uses digital media and technology to preserve and present history online, transform scholarship across the humanities, and advance historical education and understanding.
- Economic History SocietyThe Economic History Society exists to support reseach and teaching in economic and social history, broadly defined.
- International Institute of Social HistoryThe International Institute of Social History (IISH) is the world's largest documentation and research centre in the field of social history.
- Ohio Historical AssociationThe mission of the Ohio Historical Society is to help people connect with Ohio’s past in order to understand the present and create a better future.
- Oral History AssociationThe Oral History Association, established in 1966, seeks to bring together all persons interested in oral history as a way of collecting and interpreting human memories to foster knowledge and human dignity.
- Organization of American HistoriansThe Organization of American Historians is the largest learned society devoted to the study of American history.
- Phi Alpha Theta - History Honor SocietyA professional society whose mission is to promote the study of history through the encouragement of research, good teaching, publication and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians.
- The Historical Association - UKThe Historical Association brings together people who share an interest in, and love for the past and it furthers the study and teaching and enjoyment of history in all forms.
- World History AssociationThe WHA is the foremost organization for the promotion of world history through the encouragement of teaching, research, and publication.
