Catalogs and databases
The OPAL Catalog includes all of the materials in Jones Library and Ritter Library (the main campus library, located at 55 East Bagley Road). It also includes the general collections of the Riemenschneider Bach Institute and most of the vault-housed items and the facsimiles.
The OhioLINK Central Catalog comprises the collections of about 90 OhioLINK libraries, totaling some 50 million items. BW staff and students can request most of these materials directly through the catalog and have them delivered to campus.
The vault list comprises the special collections in the vault. The information is somewhat rudimentary and we are working on cataloging the vault to improve access. Please contact us for further information about an item or collection.
A number of the vault-housed materials are available in our digital collections.
There is an online finding aid for some of the Riemenschneider archive. Other finding aids are available in print on site.
We subscribe to a number of important databases in music. These are available to researchers when they are on campus.
