Policies

General Equipment Lending Policies

  • Ritter Library has equipment available for use by Baldwin Wallace University students, faculty, and staff.
  • All equipment is available to check out for 14 days of use outside of Ritter Library, with the exception of the mini dry erase boards which are 2-hour in-library-use only.
  • Equipment can be renewed two times for a total of three loan periods of 14 days, with the exception of mini dry erase boards which are not renewable.

Circulation Policy

  • A valid BWU ID card is required for check out.
  • Equipment will be tested to ensure it is working when it is checked out.
  • Equipment may be checked out from the Information Desk and is due back before closing on the due date.
  • Equipment may not be returned to the book drop.
  • Upon being returned, equipment will be tested to ensure that it is working; any damage will be noted and a charge will be issued.

Fines & Charges

  • Replacement charges if lost or stolen = actual cost of the Equipment; applies to faculty, staff and students.
  • After 28 days you will be billed for the Equipment.  Billed Equipment will incur a $20.00 fee when returned to the library, undamaged, within a reasonable time frame.
