The Jones Music Library's Kershner Education Center includes the following collections from the Teaching Music Through Performance Series, published by GIA Music Publications. discusses and analyzes important repertoire for band, choir, orchestra and other ensembles. The materials include analyses and recordings of repertoire as well as significant discussion by key pedagogues in each area. Resource recordings are on the reserve shelf under Jones Music Education Media.
The Jones Music Library's DVD collection includes a growing series of masterclasses published by the Masterclass Media Foundation. Each DVD features a masterclass given by a noted performer, including Maxim Vengerov, András Schiff, Steven Isserlis, Bernard Haitink, Evelyn Glennie, Yuri Bashmet, Thomas Quasthoff and many others.
The DVDs may be checked out for in-library use from the Circulation Desk. The following list summarizes the library's current holdings of Masterclass DVDs. However, as the library continually adds to a collection, search the OPAL Catalog by "Masterclass Media" to check for newer titles in this series.
