This guide is designed to give you quick access to the Jones Music Library's many information resources pertaining to string instruments.  You will find resources on violin, viola, cello and double bass under the "strings" tab.  Resources on guitar and harp are also described in this guide.

Use this guide to:

  • Find call numbers related to the solo and ensemble repertoire for string instruments --> Choose Scores under the Strings, Guitar or Harp tab
  • Learn how to effectively search the library catalog, OPAL, for scores, books, journal articles and audio/visual resources related to string instruments
  • Locate resources that can list the repertoire for a given stringed instrument --> Choose Bibliography & Repertoire Guides
  • Seach journal literature across multiple publications on a topic of interest --> Choose Databases
  • Listen to BW recitals, commercial recordings and Watch selected masterclasses --> Audio & Visual
