Representation in STEM: Gersey, Julia

A digital conduit for student-curated content presenting the contributions and challenges faced by underrepresented prominent figures in STEM. Physical banners were placed on display at Baldwin Wallace in spring 2022 with supporting programming scheduled.

Julia Gersey

Julia Gersey is a Software Engineering and Applied Math double major from Solon, Ohio. She enjoys building mobile applications and Internet of Things (IoT) projects with Raspberry Pis. She is a member of the Mobile Privacy and Security (MOPS) research group at Baldwin Wallace and the Lead iOS Developer for the Campus Plate App. Currently, Julia is an Application Development Intern at a local educational software company, Qwickly, Inc. Outside of work and studies, Julia is a big advocate for sustainability and founded the Students for Environmental Action (BW SEA) club. She is also a Resident Assistant, FYE Peer Leader, and softball athlete here at BW!
