Representation in STEM: Broucek, Sydney

A digital conduit for student-curated content presenting the contributions and challenges faced by underrepresented prominent figures in STEM. Physical banners were placed on display at Baldwin Wallace in spring 2022 with supporting programming scheduled.

Sydney Broucek

Sydney Broucek is from Avon, Ohio. She is a sophomore biology major and forensic science minor here at BW. Genetics and forensic science are her two biggest fields of interest. In the future, she hopes to have a career in biology research, specifically involving genetics. On campus, she works in the molecular biology lab. Additionally, Sydney is a part of the Honors Leadership Board for the Honors and Scholars Program.
